The Howrah Municipal Corporation demolished an unauthorized two-storey building in the 'O' Road Biradingi Khalpar area under the Liluah police station on Monday. According to the information provided, businessman Ranjan Bose had constructed the building without obtaining permission from the Municipal Corporation. The demolition was carried out in the presence of a heavy police force to maintain law and order during the operation.
Municipal authorities had issued a demolition notice for the structure five years ago, but no action was taken at that time. The Municipal Corporation has now executed the demolition of the unauthorized building following the earlier notice and administrative action.
