PM Modi announces 'fast-track' courts to handle paper leak cases

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced through a post on X that the central government has decided to establish fast-track courts to handle examination paper leak cases. Asserting that nothing is more important than the future and welfare of the country's youth, he stated that he has directed relevant authorities to take necessary steps to ensure swift trial and stringent punishment for those involved. The initiative marks his first public statement on the matter following escalating protests across the capital.

The announcement comes in the backdrop of the July 20 'Chalo Sansad' march organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and supported by opposition groups, including the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, and Shiv Sena (UBT). Demonstrations in Delhi escalated after clashes occurred between protesters and law enforcement, leading to the Delhi High Court issuing notices to the Centre and Delhi Police over alleged police excesses during the march.

Despite the prime minister's assurance of legal measures, the CJP and opposition leaders reiterated their core demands, including the immediate removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party continues to demand clear accountability for NEET examination breaches alongside compensation for families of students affected by paper leak fallout.
