40 playgrounds destroyed for Sebaashray! Trinamool MLA urges CM Suvendu to intervene

A political controversy has emerged over the condition of sports infrastructure in the Diamond Harbour assembly constituency after MLA Pannalal Haldar raised concerns regarding 40 damaged playgrounds. The fields were previously occupied to conduct 'Sebaashray' camps managed during MP Abhishek Banerjee's tenure. According to complaints, these grounds were never restored to their original condition after the camps concluded, leaving them unusable for local sports activities and children.

During the ongoing assembly session, Haldar formally drew the attention of Sports Minister Indranil Khan to the dilapidated condition of the local grounds. The legislator submitted an official application through the Sports Minister requesting intervention from Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to allocate resources for repairing the damaged playing fields across the constituency.

Expressing optimism, Haldar commended the Sports Minister's initiative and voiced confidence in state leadership to resolve the issue promptly.
