Bollywood actor Salman Khan has appealed to education activist Sonam Wangchuk to call off his indefinite hunger strike and offered to send him home-cooked meals. Wangchuk, known for his work in education reform, has been fasting since June 28 to demand accountability and systemic reforms following the paper leak controversy. In a direct online message, Khan encouraged Wangchuk to preserve his energy and end the fast, expressing confidence that the core issues are being addressed.

The actor also urged protesting students across the country to return home to their families, highlighting that their safety and educational future remain top priorities. Pointing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public assurance regarding strict action against those responsible for paper leaks, Khan emphasized that students no longer need to worry or cause distress to their parents. He assured the youth that official measures, including proposed fast-track judicial proceedings, would safeguard their interests.

Previously, Khan had voiced support for the student-led movement, praising their peaceful stance and describing their dedication to meritocracy as courageous. However, he strongly cautioned against allowing the agitation to be hijacked for political mileage. Reiterating that the issue lies strictly between students and the education system, the actor expressed optimism that government intervention would ultimately yield a fairer and stronger educational framework.
