Govt to decide on Pradhan's resignation by tomorrow, says CJP after 2nd meeting

A high-level meeting took place at Vittal House in Delhi on Friday between Union Minister JP Nadda and representatives of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to address ongoing student protests over paper leaks. During the second round of discussions, CJP leaders reiterated that their demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan remains non-negotiable. While the venue was shifted from the Constitution Club to Vittal House due to security considerations, the delegation firmly presented their primary conditions for ending the protests at Jantar Mantar.

Following the meeting, CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and leader Sourav Das addressed the media, stating that three major demands were placed before the government. According to CJP representatives, the government has granted in-principle approval to two key demands: providing compensation to the families of NEET candidates who died by suicide and withdrawing 11 FIRs along with related legal cases filed against protesting students. However, regarding the central demand for the Education Minister's resignation, the government sought time until Saturday afternoon to deliver its official stance.

Prior to the discussions, CJP Founding President Abhijit Dipke emphasized that the agitation represents the country's youth and will continue unabated until their core demand is satisfied. He also welcomed the end of Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike while noting earlier restrictions on meeting him. The talks followed repeated appeals from Union Minister Jitendra Singh, who reiterated the government's openness to resolving the issues through dialogue and highlighted that multiple invitations had been extended to student representatives over the preceding 24 hours.
