ABVP takes out Tiranga rally from Howrah, Sealdah stations in protest of Dharmatala attacks on police and media

In response to the violence that erupted during SFI's NEET paper leak demonstration in Esplanade, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a counter rally on Tuesday. Student and youth activists gathered in large numbers to protest against the chaos, alleged anti-national activities, and physical attacks targeted at media personnel covering the earlier demonstration.

The counter march commenced simultaneously from Howrah and Sealdah railway stations, with participants marching through key city thoroughfares toward Dharmatala. Holding flags and shouting slogans, the demonstrators condemned the individuals responsible for vandalizing public property and assaulting journalists during Friday's gathering. Protesters demanded strict law enforcement action against non-student miscreants who infiltrated the educational movement to incite violence.

The demonstration reached Dharmatala without major disruptions as police deployed adequate security to maintain traffic flow and prevent law and order issues. ABVP leadership emphasized that while peaceful democratic protests regarding examination reforms are legitimate, violence against the press and law enforcement cannot be tolerated under the guise of student agitation.
