At the starting of the week, a fire broke out in a busy area like Kolkata's Exide Junction on Monday, leading to a traffic jam. Passengers faced many problems. For some time, buses coming from the south to central Kolkata were restricted on this route. Due to the fire, the entire space is filled with black smoke.
After receiving the report, the police also intervened. No casualties have been reported in this incident yet. According to local and police sources, smoke was suddenly seen coming from the punctured tire. Huge panic spread in the area due to the incident. The police and fire brigade were informed. Two fire engines arrived at the scene first. Later, realizing the gravity of the situation, four more engines arrived.
As soon as the message was received, local councilor Ashim Bose reached the spot. He said three people present inside the building went to the terrace after learning about the fire. One of them came at the right time. The remaining two people were also rescued and brought down. No one else is trapped inside. A fire in a closed car tire shop is extremely dangerous because tires quickly catch fire. Police and firefighters surrounded the building from several sides. Efforts are underway to control the fire. Only then will the cause of the fire be known.
