Arpita breaks down in court, Partha says, ''My social status is being destroyed''

Arpita Mukherjee, accused of corruption in West Bengal teacher recruitment, once again cried bitterly in the court. She started crying bitterly while talking about her physical illness. Her lawyer said that Arpita has gynaecological problems. After this Arpita claimed that she is innocent. 

Former minister Partha Chatterjee said he felt "mentally abused". He also said that his social respect is being destroyed. Partha Chatterjee and Arpita Mukherjee are currently in jail custody in the teacher recruitment scam case.

The bail hearing of former state education minister Partha Chatterjee and his 'close' aide Arpita was held in Bankshall Court on Tuesday. Both appeared in the hearing through virtual medium. During this, Arpita looked quite helpless. 

Shortly after that, Arpita started crying about her illness. Her lawyer said, Arpita has gynaecological problems. He also said that she is being given only painkillers in the jail and she needs proper treatment. Arpita also claimed that she was being made a victim of a 'conspiracy'. Even before this, Arpita Mukherjee was seen crying many times in jail and court.

Parth also claimed that his social respect is being destroyed. He said, “I am losing my social respect. I am feeling mentally tortured." Partha and Arpita are involved in teacher recruitment corruption. Allegedly he arranged jobs for 'disqualified' candidates by taking money. The ED interrogated Partha Chatterjee at Naktala's house on July 22 last year. ED recovered about Rs 21 crore in cash. Soon after this, on July 23, Parth and Arpita were arrested.
