Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav arrived in the capital on Saturday evening after undergoing a kidney transplant in Singapore in December last year.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president was unwell and was being treated in Singapore. He arrived in Delhi on Saturday evening, where he was received by his daughter Misa Bharti, who is a member of the Rajya Sabha. He will stay with Misa in Delhi for a few days, party sources said.
Lalu Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya had earlier taken to Twitter to update her father's health condition and his arrival date. She also asked supporters and well-wishers of Lalu Yadav to take care of him when he reaches India.
"I am doing my duty as a daughter. Dad has recovered, and I am sending him to you. Please take care of Dad," she said.
Lalu Yadav, 74, was suffering from acute kidney complications and was recommended for a kidney transplant. Rohini came forward as a donor. The transplant was performed on December 5 last year. The former Bihar CM is serving jail terms in the fodder scam and is currently out on bail on health grounds.
