Jharkhand General Manager (Railway) Anil Palta suspended Chittaranjan Government Railway Police (GRP) Senior Officer Suresh Paswan for dancing with a half-naked woman.
The Directorate General of Palt particularly intervened after a video of a senior officer dancing with a half-naked woman to a vulgar song went viral on social media. He got information about the same through the Police (Railway) Superintendent.
The Superintendent of Police got information through the Railway Protection Force (RPF) based in Asansol, West Bengal, where the video was watched, and negative comments were passed which tarnished the image of the Jharkhand Police.
The action was taken as Paswan's action seemed to tarnish the image of the police. The CEO felt that as an officer in charge, such behavior was not expected from Paswan.
A police official said that OC Paswan danced in a program organized on the occasion of Shivratri in the temple premises. Apart from Paswan, other police officials were also present at the event.
