Judicial officers of the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services Association, Lucknow, on Thursday censured District Judge Pilibhita Praveen Kumar Laxkar for allegedly perverting the course of justice by barging into the Juvenile Justice Commission courtroom with armed security personnel and capturing a video of the chief justice on February 17, 2023.
The court officials unanimously approved a resolution signed by the association's general secretary Harendra Bahadur Singh to refer the matter to CM Yogi Adityanath for swift and strict action against the DM.
Judicial officials said that if administrative officials treated judicial officials in this way, they would not be able to do judicial work freely.
They also called the DM's clarifying statement - that he was authorized to review court work - indefensible.
