Burglars loot jewels, cash worth lakhs in Gaya, market shut in protest

On Tuesday night, a burglary took place at Mohini Jewelers in the local market under the Imamganj police station of Gaya district. The thieves stole cash and property worth lakhs of rupees, including jewelry worth more than ten lakh rupees.

The shop owner, Abhay Kumar, learned of the incident this morning and informed the police. When the police arrived at the scene, they conducted an inquiry into the matter. According to Abhay Kumar, he had closed the shop as usual on Tuesday night and went home. However, the theft was discovered by the shopkeeper next to his shop the next morning.

The safe inside the shop was broken and all the items kept in it were missing, including the jewelry and cash. The incident has caused unrest among the businessmen, and the market in Pura Imamganj has been closed in protest against the police administration's failure to prevent the burglary.

It is worth noting that the incident took place just 300 meters away from the Imamganj police station, next to the PNB bank. Despite its proximity to the police station, the burglary has caused a sense of panic among the business community. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
