Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
On March 6th, a joint raid conducted by officers and police of Bidhannagar DD and Narayanpur PS resulted in the arrest of five individuals for operating an illegal call center. The operation was carried out from a room on the first level of Siddha Xanadu Studio, where the accused were found using fraudulent software to provide technical support services under the name of Microsoft Company. These services caused wrongful loss to customers worldwide, with dishonest intentions.
As officers entered the room, the accused tried to flee but were caught by the authorities. The five accused persons were identified as Abdul Sarfaraz (22), Maisar Hossain alias Arbaz Hossain (22), Saif Ali Khan (28), Abdul Fayiz (22), and Syed Md. Rashid Ali (31).
During the raid, officers seized a large number of databases containing the personal information of customers from different countries, along with IP details, mobile handsets, and SIM cards. These items were seized under proper seizure lists.
The accused persons have been charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 406, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B, and 34. These sections deal with offenses related to criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery, and conspiracy. The accused persons will now be presented before the court, where they will face the consequences of their actions.
