Mohit Joshi has stepped down as president of technology major Infosys to join Tech Mahindra as president and CEO, according to a stock exchange filing. Joshi will replace CP Gurnani, who is set to retire in December, as CMD at Tech Mahindra.
Joshi's tenure at the company ends on December 20 for five years, Tech Mahindra said. He leaves Infosys after 22 years in the main IT department. His last day is June 9.
Joshi will join Tech Mahindra well before Gurnani's departure, the company said. At Infosys, he led global financial services and healthcare. He was also head of the company's software business, including their Finacle banking platform. The former Infosys president also oversaw their automation portfolio. As of 2020, he previously served as a non-executive director of Aviva.
Prior to Infosys, Joshi worked at banks such as ABN Amro and ANZ Grindlays. He has experience working in Asia, America and Europe, the statement said. Joshi was selected for the top post after evaluating several internal and external candidates, Tech Mahindra said.
