WB Govt Program has resulted in more than 10 lakh Cataract Operations: Mamata
A woman has been arrested for killing her lover after they had an argument and the man threatened to kill her in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur.
The victim, Subodh Pandey, was a priest and was married to another woman. He was dating accused Sharda Tiwari for the last one year. The couple rented an apartment in the Parsudih area and visited regularly.
On March 2nd, they became intimate after drinking liquor. Then the two got into a fight over some issues. During the duel, the priest took a piece of cloth, made a loop and hung it on the fan. While he was standing on the chair and threatening to kill Sharda, the woman pushed him and tightened the noose. This caused the man to suffocate and die. Sharda ran away from the spot.
Suspicious, Subodh's son filed a police complaint against Sharda. Subodha's body was found on 6 March. The police team swung into action and arrested the woman. During the interrogation, the woman admitted that she pushed the priest.
Sharda also told the police that Subodh had sold her land and jewelery during their relationship. "There used to be frequent arguments about this matter. Whenever I asked him to return the money, he beat me,” she said.
Station Master Ram Kumar Verma said Sharda had three children while Subodh also had two sons and two daughters. Both were in an illicit relationship for the past year.
