Suvendu alleges cut money in funding for school uniforms

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday alleged that cut money has also been taken in the uniform supply of government and government-aided schools in the state. 

On Saturday, he made this allegation by tweeting.

In two tweets, he has written that the members of the self-help groups of the state have been instructed to go to the schools to take measurements of the clothes of the students and make uniforms, but the fact is that the state government, through one of its favorite agencies, is engaged in government and government-aided schools. The uniforms that are being given to the children are pre-determined and of low quality. Interestingly, such uniforms are going for an average size that will fit almost all children and have instead taken huge cuts.

In his second tweet, Suvendu has written that the issue of taking measurements of children and stitching clothes by members of self-help groups is completely misleading. These dresses are already made. The reality is that when there will be an issue with the size of the clothes taken from the preferred agency, then the blame will be put on the self-help groups and their money will be killed.

They have also claimed that the SHG members have not yet been paid for the tailoring work they did for the state government last year. From above they are being pushed toward new troubles.
