Jessore Road metro station key to Noapara-Barasat line

Noapara-Barasat is connected to Kolkata's Jessore Road Metro Station by way of the Biman Bandar Metro Project. It is expected to develop into a significant metro stop along the Yellow Line corridor. At the moment, the Noapara-Bimanbandar segment is experiencing heavy construction. Four stations will be located along the 6.25 km stretch: Jessore Road, Noapara, Dumdum cantonment, and Biman Bandar station.

The sole station being constructed on this tract of land is the Jessore Road metro station. Biman Bandar station will be an underground station, whereas Noapara and Dumdum Cantonment stations have been built on viaducts. The Blue Line and Yellow Line will have a connection stop at the Noapara metro station.

By 2035, the Metro station will likely be used daily by more than 45,000 commuters. Those who live in the Nagerbazar, Kaikhali More, and Airport Authority of India's Quarter Complex neighbourhoods will benefit from the station. By using this station, travelers will find the route quite easy for traveling to any location inside the city.

Newly built passenger amenities can be seen at the Jessore Road metro station. The station will include four escalators, two lifts, and four staircases for the benefit of users. Passengers from the UP and DN platforms will be able to move about with ease thanks to the staircases that connect the platforms with the subway. Two platforms will be available at the Jessore Road station to provide convenient passenger boarding and boarding.

To facilitate smooth passenger circulation, the authorities will install sufficient AFC-PC Gates at this station. Modern firefighting apparatus has also been positioned to guarantee the safety of the passengers. In addition to them, the station features a sufficient number of ticket booths, benches, restrooms for men, women, and divyangjan, as well as a public address system for the comfort of the passengers.
