Death count rises to 288 in Odisha train tragedy, 803 remain injured
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) said on Thursday that a federal district court has sentenced a 34-year-old man of Indian descent to 188 months in prison for the dissemination of child sexual abuse material.
The person who works on a cruise ship has been identified as Goa native Angelo Victor Fernandes.
In 2022, he is charged with delivering at least 13 child pornographic videos to a different guy named Daniel Scott Crow using an instant messaging service.
Fernandes also discussed trip plans with Crow in order to facilitate his involvement in sexual activities with youngsters.
The federal prosecutor claimed that Fernandes discussed sexually abusing children and boasted about his capacity to procure children for sex in a separate conversation with another unnamed person.
Crow did, however, enter a guilty plea to at least one charge of enticing a minor as well as one charge of producing child pornography.
On December 12, 2022, he was given a 30-year prison sentence, according to a press release from the DoJ.
