Popular Bhojpuri singer Nisha Upadhyay sustained bullet injuries allegedly in a celebratory firing at her show in Bihar's Saran district, as per reports. Ms Upadhyay was hit on her left thigh and was admitted to a private hospital in Patna after the incident.
The incident took place in Sendurva village under Janta Bazar police station area on May 30 but came to light after videos of the show went viral on social media, police said on thursday.

I also came to know about it from social media. More information is being gathered," said Nasruddin Khan, Station House Officer (SHO) Janta Bazar.
Her condition is now considered stable.
Bihar Minister for Arts and Culture Jitendra Kumar Rai condemned it and said celebratory firing is a crime and people need to understand that.
"I have been informed about it. It is highly condemnable and prosecution must be initiated against the accused. People must know that firing ceremoniously even with permitted weapons in public gatherings, religious places, weddings or other events is a crime. The accused must be punished", he said.
"I am sure that the police will investigate how the incident happened, who was involved in the shooting and how the shot was fired," he added.
Despite repeated attempts, Ms Upadhyay's family could not be reached for comment.
