Abhishek Banerjee demands resignation of Railway Minister, blames Central govt for Odisha train accident

Abhishek Banerjee, the National General Secretary of Trinamool Congress, has strongly criticized the central government for the Coromandel train accident, attributing it to the negligence of railway officials.

He called for the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and demanded a white paper on the matter. Abhishek highlighted the absence of an anti-collision device and emphasized the need for responsibility, pointing out the successful initiatives taken during Mamata Banerjee's tenure as Railway Minister.

He criticized the hurried inauguration of the Vande Bharat train, emphasizing the lack of guidance and coordination from the Railways, claiming that two years' worth of work was being squeezed into six months to showcase development to the public.
