ED Summons WB Law minister in Coal smuggling case following Rujira Banerjee's summoning

ED summons West Bengal Law Minister Malay Ghatak in coal smuggling case, following the summoning of Rujira Banerjee
Malay Ghatak directed to appear for questioning on June 19, as per the Delhi High Court's order
Ghatak initially did not respond to ED's emails, but later consented to the interrogation. The agency has asked him to appear in person at the ED headquarters in Delhi

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a summons to West Bengal's Law Minister Malay Ghatak in connection with the coal smuggling case.

After summoning Rujira Banerjee, daughter-in-law of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the ED has directed Ghatak to appear for questioning on June 19.

The Delhi High Court had ordered the agency to issue the summons at least 15 days prior to the scheduled interrogation.

Ghatak had previously not responded to the agency's emails, but later consented to the questioning.
