In case of emergency, female passengers can seek help by calling at Women helpline number – 9007041908
Ensuring security of the passengers, Kolkata Metro has introduced Women and security helpline numbers so that commuters (especially women) may contact the appropriate authorities in the event of an emergency.
To provide immediate assistance/help to the commuters, dedicated staff have been deployed at Metro Rail Bhavan to receive any call in these numbers and act accordingly.
In case of emergency, female passengers can seek help by calling at Women helpline number – 9007041908.
In case of emergency, commuters can seek help by calling at Security helpline number – 9007041789.
The Women and Security helpline numbers are on display inside Metro rakes and at Metro stations. Passengers may call at these numbers for seeking help in cases such as loss of child / relatives, loss of bags/other valuable items in the Metro premises.
“We have received 2013 emergency calls in these helpline numbers from January 2023 to May 2023. All the phone calls were answered and passengers were given prompt and necessary assistance,” said Chief Public Relations Officer of Kolkata Metro. He pointed out that commuters have thanked Metro Railway authorities after receiving the necessary assistance/help in emergencies.
Kolkata Metro had recently started parcel pick up and drop off (PUDO) facility at Sealdah station.
