GST council reduces rates on cancer drugs, decision on insurance likely in November
Governor CV Anand Bose paid a visit to the Gayen family in Ramnekhali, Basanti, extending his heartfelt condolences and support following the devastating Baleshwar train accident. The family suffered the loss of three brothers, Haran Gayen, Nishikant Gayen, and Dibakar Gayen, in the tragic incident.
During the visit, the Governor also met with the families of two other victims from the same village, Sanjay Halder and Vikas Halder.
Governor CV Anand Bose expressed his deepest sympathies to the grieving families and assured them that the Rajya Bhavan would assist them in any way possible. As a gesture of support, he provided the families with rice, pulses, and fruits. Additionally, he announced that the Rajya Bhavan would organize the Shraddha ceremony for the victims as a mark of respect.
Recognizing the financial hardships faced by the families, the Governor pledged to deposit 10,000 rupees into the Jan Dhan accounts of each victim's family. Furthermore, he conveyed his commitment to stand by the Gayen family and offer support during this difficult period.
