Amit Shah to address rally in Bihar's Lakhisarai just days after opposition meet

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a mega rally at Lakhisarai in Munger Lok Sabha constituency, the home ground of JDU president Lalan Singh. This happened days after a meeting of opposition parties hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna.

MoS Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that Amit Shah will go to the residence of Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha, where the Lok Sabha Standing Committee meeting will be held.

He will then arrive in Patna where party leaders will welcome him at the airport, followed by a helicopter visit to Lakhisarai.

"He will offer Puja at the historic Ashok Dham temple and meet the Mandir trustees as part of the party's 'Sampark Se Samarthan' Abhiyan, after which the Home Minister will directly arrive at the Gandhi Maidan rally venue to address a public meeting on the completion of the nine." years of the Modi government,” the minister said.

"Every visit of Amit Shah to Bihar has been historic and successful...This time also the same will happen and thousands of people will join the rally to listen to Amit Bhai," he said.

Rai added, “BJP is not only preparing for Amit Shah's rally but people of Munger are also busy preparing for the big rally with equal enthusiasm. There is great enthusiasm among the people of Munger for Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister again in 2024."

Notably, this is Amit Shah's fifth visit to Bihar in the last nine months since his party was ousted from power in the state in August 2022 after CM Nitish Kumar severed ties with the BJP, ending the coalition government in the state.

A mega meeting of key opposition parties was held in Patna on June 23.
