West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to undergo knee surgery later this week following injuries sustained during an emergency landing of her helicopter.
Doctors from Kolkata's Government SSKM Hospital have been providing physiotherapy, but the presence of frozen water in her knee necessitates surgical intervention for long-term relief.
Mamata is expected to be admitted to SSKM Hospital on either Thursday or Friday, with an anticipated hospital stay of two to three days.
