Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu may attend the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting on July 18, sources said. The meeting will be held at Hotel Ashoka, Delhi.
Both the SAD and the TDP are former alliance partners of the NDA.
Meanwhile, following recent developments in Maharashtra, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that several parties want to join the NDA for the development of the country and that the National Congress Party (NCP) has taken the lead.
The minister expressed confidence that the NCP's initiative to join the NDA and become part of the Maharashtra government will strengthen the government and the BJP will continue to provide a strong and stable government at the center after the 2024 general elections.
Later, while speaking at a function at Gagret in Una district, he said "Dharma is with the BJP" and the party is all set to make a repeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
He claimed that those trying to upset the BJP's apple cart would be completely washed out this time.
The achievements of the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are unparalleled and people want the NDA to come back to power again, he added.
