Bengaluru police on Wednesday warned social media users not to share the double-murder case in which a company's CEO and director were allegedly killed by a former employee and his friends. The police further said that the investigation is continuing and asked people to refrain from sharing unverified claims about the murder.
In response to a tweet that claimed one of the victims, Phaneendra Subramanyam, is a Hindu leader, the Bengaluru police said: “In connection with this incident, the alleged accused have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against Amruthahallips. We ask the entire public to refrain from further sharing this incident during the investigation."
Bengaluru police on Wednesday arrested three people, identified as Shabar alias Felix (27), Vinay Reddy (23) and Santosh alias Santhu (26), in a double murder case.
Three men, one of whom is said to be a former employee of Aeronics Media Pvt Ltd, barged into its office at Pampa Extension near Amruthahalli and hacked to death the CEO and managing director of the firm.
The reason for the double murder is a suspected business rivalry. The victims, CEO Vinu Kumar (40) and MD Phanindra Subramanya (36), died while being rushed to hospital after sustaining critical injuries in the attack. An FIR has been lodged and investigation is on.
