North Kolkata filtered water supply to be disrupted on Dec 16-17 due to Tallah Pump repairs
A case came to light in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh. Whereas the student was not allowed to enter the school because he applied to Tilak. The incident involves Alphonse Higher Secondary School, a private Christian school in the district. As soon as the family members of the student and workers of Hindi organizations came to know about the incident, they all reached the school and created a ruckus.
The student claimed that when he reached the school in Tilak, he was stopped at the gate itself. When he asked why he was not allowed in, the people present at the gate told him to erase the tilak and enter the school. However, when the student entered the school without removing the tilak, the teachers removed the tilak as soon as he reached the classroom, and was allegedly asked to believe in the God of the Christian religion.
Within a short time, the student's family members and Hindu organizations came to know about the incident and they all reached the school. As soon as he reached the school, the student's family members and people from the organization started creating a ruckus. A large number of police forces arrived at the scene in a hurry and somehow pacified the people.
Later, when the school authorities realized their mistake, they apologized to the student's family. After that, all the children of the school were made to recite Hanuman Chalisa with a prayer, and Jai Shri Ram slogans were also raised throughout the school, only after that the anger of all the children calmed down but the children adamant their demands against the two teachers who removed Tilak. Later, however, the children calmed down after the management apologized.
People who came to the school during the agitation said that to maintain discipline in schools, students may be asked to wear the same dress, but if a student has come to school in tilak for his birthday, religious service, or any other special occasion, then he cannot be asked to remove the tilak.
