In a significant development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced during a cabinet meeting in Ayodhya that his government has given the green light to 14 projects aimed at the development of the historic city. The meeting was held at the Ramkatha Mandap (auditorium) located along the banks of the Saryu river. During the announcement, Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized the importance of the occasion, stating, "Today, a new chapter has been added in the history of Uttar Pradesh. The entire cabinet of the UP government has come to Ayodhya Dham."
Among the key decisions made during the meeting, it was revealed that an Inland Waterways Authority is set to be established in Uttar Pradesh to enhance water transport and promote water tourism. Adityanath also confirmed the approval of the Ayodhya Tirth Vikas Parishad and Ma Pateshesri Dham Tirth Vikas Parishad. Additionally, regulations for operating drones within the state were passed. The date of the meeting, November 9, holds historical significance, as it marks the anniversary of the Supreme Court's 2019 verdict in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case, which paved the way for the construction of the Ram Temple.
