In a shocking incident in Bijnor district, a businessman's house was targeted by robbers, resulting in a brutal assault on his wife. The robbery occurred while the businessman was away with his mother and two children for a medical appointment. According to reports, five assailants entered the residence, restrained the wife, and subjected her to a horrifying gang-rape.
The perpetrators, under the influence of alcohol, further inflicted cruelty by burning the woman with cigarette butts. The criminals looted gold jewelry, 2 kg of silver items, Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, a scooter, and an installed LED TV.The victim's husband, who had been previously robbed on October 19, expressed frustration, stating that the robbers had previously held him hostage and stolen Rs 80,000.
Despite reporting the incident, he claimed that the police initially attempted to suppress the matter. Only after the incident gained media attention did the police register a complaint. Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadaun has taken action against a station in-charge, Vikas Kumar, for alleged negligence in handling the October 19 case. A case has now been registered under relevant sections related to gang-rape and robbery.
