CBI raids across state investigating into Rs 800 crore bank fraud case
The Varanasi district court has granted the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) an additional 10 days to submit its scientific survey report on the Gyanvapi mosque complex.
The ASI was earlier given time till November 17 to submit the report but on Friday, its counsel sought 15 more days from the court requesting an extension, citing the non-availability of the technical report. Madan Mohan Yadav, the counsel for the Hindu side, conveyed the ASI's need for more time.
District Judge A K Vishvesh, overseeing the matter, has now directed the ASI to submit its report by November 28. Earlier on November 2, the ASI informed the court that it had completed the survey but required additional time to compile the report, including details of the survey equipment used.
The court had previously granted a four-week extension to the ASI on October 5, emphasizing that the survey duration would not be extended beyond this period.
