In a tragic incident in Kolkata, the discovery of decomposed bodies of four family members in a closed flat in North 24 Parganas district has unveiled a distressing angle of illicit relations. The deceased have been identified as Vrindaban Karmakar (52), a textile businessman, his wife Devashree Karmakar (around 40 years old), their 17-year-old daughter Deblina, and eight-year-old son Utsaha.
The bodies were found in a closed flat on Mukherjee Marg in the Khardah area under Barrackpore Police Commissionerate. Authorities suspect that the man, Vrindaban Karmakar, committed suicide after poisoning his family members. The police discovered his body hanging from the ceiling, while the other three bodies were found in different locations within the flat.
A suicide note was also recovered, in which the man claimed that his wife was involved in an extramarital affair, revealing a relationship that he couldn't bear, leading to this tragic step. The forensic team has examined the incident site, and a comprehensive investigation into the case is underway.
