In a significant development, Bihar Police have successfully arrested five criminals involved in the murder and robbery of a jewelery shop in Siwan last month. The criminals, including Vikram alias Jhingna and Angad Mishra, both of whom were listed among the top 10 criminals in the district, were apprehended along with a cache of weapons and looted items. Among the seized items were a carbine, two country-made pistols, 111 grams of looted gold, 2 kg 495 grams of silver, 3 kg 570 grams of Ganja, and 64 packets of smack.
These arrests shed light on another robbery incident involving the same criminals in the city police station area, where an additional Rs 4 lakh 25 thousand was stolen from the office of Udaan Express Courier Company.The jewelery shop murder-robbery case unfolded on October 13 at Kareena Jewellers shop in Chandi Bazaar of GB Nagar police station area.
During the incident, the criminals shot jewelery shopkeeper Akash Kumar, resulting in his death, while another shopkeeper, Pintu Kumar, sustained injuries. The police, in response to the incident, identified the criminals and formed a special team to arrest them and recover the looted jewellery. The arrests of Vikram alias Jhingna, Angad Mishra, and their associates highlight the effectiveness of the police operation in swiftly bringing the perpetrators to justice.
The arrested criminals, who had a prior history of criminal activities, were currently out on judicial bail. Identified as Sujit Kumar Bind, Ajit Kumar alias Amar Bind, Angad Mishra, Amarendra Patel, and Vikramjit Gupta alias Jhingna, these individuals were connected not only to the jewellery shop murder but also to the robbery of Udaan Express Courier Company's office.
The success of the police operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement to maintain public safety and swiftly address criminal activities in the region.
