Income Tax Department officials are conducting a raid on Alpine Distilleries Private Limited, a liquor factory in Mahanad of Polba.
According to the information received, the Income Tax Department team reached Alpine Distilleries Private Limited at around 4.30 am on Tuesday morning. A total of 20-25 officers came to this factory in Polba in 5 vehicles.
Many complaints related to income tax of this company have been handed over to the investigators. According to Income Tax Department sources, at around 12.30-1.00 am on Monday night, officers from Kolkata divided into two groups and left for Hooghly. Central forces personnel also accompanied them.
The Income Tax Department is investigating allegations of financial irregularities, dividing into two teams for a comprehensive search.
