Following the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) triumphant victories in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed the press on Monday. In her statements, she asserted that the Congress was both a loser and a gainer in this political scenario. Banerjee highlighted the narrow margin of difference between the BJP's and Congress's vote percentages, emphasizing the significance of strategic planning in electoral success.

According to Banerjee, the absence of seat sharing played a pivotal role in BJP's victories. She advised the Congress to focus on strategic planning, stating that victory could only be achieved through well-thought-out strategies. Banerjee also warned that if seat sharing was not considered, the BJP might not return in the 2024 elections. Furthermore, she claimed that the funding for the elections was supplied by a central agency, pointing to the financial aspect of the political landscape.

The West Bengal CM stressed that the defeat of Congress should not be viewed as a defeat of the people, urging everyone to learn from this experience. She suggested that any errors within the INDIA alliance needed immediate correction for future success.
