Two individuals have been arrested and four others booked in a case of cheating during the Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The arrests were made by the Lucknow police on Sunday at Bal Vidya Mandir in Charbagh.
The arrests followed a tip-off from the school principal, who informed Hasanganj police about impostors using fake documents to appear in the exam.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Suraj Singh, 22, from Hathras, and Dhruv Kumar, 27, from Mathura. Meanwhile, Rahul Kumar and Sunil Kumar, both residents of Firozabad, are still at large.
The police have filed charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including cheating, forgery, and dishonesty. The arrested individuals are set to be presented in court for further legal proceedings
