There was a huge uproar during the voting for the Patna University student union elections. Student leaders fired at the Geography subject stand on Saturday afternoon. It is said that in the last minute of the PU student union elections, pressure was exerted by the hostel students to get votes for their candidates.

During this, the first fight and stone throwing erupted followed by a shooting. However, there are no reports of any casualties. Earlier there was a riot in Patna Women's College. Student leaders of other organizations protested the distribution of 'rosogolla' to voting students. The police pacified the crowd.

The voting for the student union elections at Patna University took place on Saturday till 2 pm. A total of 51 cabins on different tracks were prepared for this. A large number of police force was deployed. 

The counting of votes will take place on Saturday evening. The results of all entries are expected to be published at night. ABVP, NSUI, Chhatra RJD, Chhatra JDU, Chhatra JAP and other parties and independents are in the fray for Patna University student union elections.
