Kolkata bus owners seek relaxation of rules for 15-year-old buses, file petition in High Court
In a major operation conducted on Wednesday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) struck gold as they raided the residence of Telangana State Real Estate Management Authority (TSRERA) Secretary Shiva Balakrishna. The investigation revealed that Balakrishna possesses disproportionate assets exceeding Rs 100 crore, raising questions about the origin of this massive wealth. The raid, which commenced at 5 am, uncovered an array of assets including gold, flats, bank deposits, and valuable property.
Officials have indicated that the raid will continue on Thursday also. A case has been registered against Balkrishna. It is feared that the TSRERA officer has amassed so much wealth by misusing his position. At present, the investigating agency is also investigating Balkrishna's bank locker and other undeclared assets. Earlier, Balakrishna had also been the director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
