Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
A wave of chaos swept through Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday as dense fog led to the cancellation and delay of several IndiGo flights. The disruption prompted a protest by passengers who, after the cancellation of a Deoghar-bound flight, voiced their frustration by raising slogans against IndiGo airline.
In a video capturing the incident, the disgruntled passengers can be heard chanting phrases like 'IndiGo haye haye' and 'bandh karo bandh karo,' highlighting the growing discontent.
This episode follows recent scrutiny of IndiGo by aviation regulators, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), due to numerous delays causing significant chaos. IndiGo had previously faced penalties, including a substantial fine imposed by the civil aviation ministry, after a viral video depicted passengers sitting on the tarmac of Mumbai airport, eating food during an extensive delay.
As dense fog continued to affect visibility at Delhi airport, IndiGo issued advisories to passengers, warning of potential disruptions in flight operations. The situation underscores ongoing challenges posed by adverse weather conditions, impacting flight services at major airports.
