"We expect potato prices to drop starting tomorrow", say authorities
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren faces mounting troubles as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleges his involvement in a land scam and transfer posting bribery. Revelations from recovered WhatsApp chats indicate Soren, along with officers close to him, not only seized government lands through forgery but also engaged in illicit transfer posting of officers in exchange for bribes.
The ED presented 539 pages of WhatsApp conversations between Soren and his associate Binod Singh, revealing discussions about land grabbing and bribery for transfer postings. Additionally, documents related to the transfer of Bokaro and Chalbasa Jail Superintendent, with mentions of transfer rates, were found on a mobile device. The agency asserts that these findings indicate Soren's misuse of power for personal gain.
