The Jharkhand Assembly's budget session is set to kick off on February 23 and will extend until March 2, featuring the Governor's address. The approval for convening the session was granted by Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The state government, led by Chief Minister Champai Soren, is slated to present the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on February 27.
Originally planned for a start on February 9, the session was postponed due to political uncertainties in the region. The delay was attributed to the ongoing discussions surrounding cabinet expansion, with ministers of Champai Soren's government expected to take oath on February 16.
