BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has accused the duty manager and staff of Akasa Airlines of a conspiracy to harm her during a flight from Mumbai to Delhi. In a complaint lodged with Central Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, she detailed an alleged coordinated attempt to cause her harm upon landing at Delhi Airport. The MP, who suffers from a spinal issue, claimed that the off-duty manager and staff not only misbehaved but also intentionally shook her wheelchair, resulting in further back problems.

Her associates disclosed that the staff's actions occurred during the deboarding process, causing distress to the MP, who relies on a wheelchair due to her spinal condition.

However, a contradictory account surfaced when a passenger, Kundan Shashiraj, who claimed to be on the same flight, defended the duty manager Imran, describing him as "pleasant and helpful" and expressing skepticism about the allegations made by Sadhvi Pragya. Akasa Airlines, responding to the controversy, issued an apology, regretting the MP's experience and pledging to investigate the incident thoroughly.
