IMD warns of severe storms, hail, and heavy rain across Bengal; IPL opener at risk
In a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren accused the previous BJP-led government of neglecting social, economic, educational, and infrastructure development in the state. During a housing scheme event, CM Soren highlighted the Hemant Soren government's commitment to 'Roti, Kapda, and Makaan' infrastructure since 2019, emphasizing the focus on education.
He disclosed that despite previous rejections from the Centre, the state government provided houses to residents using state funds. Asserting that no Jharkhand resident will be homeless by 2027, Soren announced plans to provide homes to 1.13 lakh beneficiaries by 2026, with an additional 2.83 lakh beneficiaries in the following five years.
