In a tragic incident that occurred between 1:30 and 2 am tonight, a major road accident has shaken Lakhisarai, Bihar, leaving 9 people dead and 7 critically injured. The mishap took place in Biharaura village, within the jurisdiction of Ramgarhchowk police station. The victims were traveling in an auto carrying 15 passengers when an unidentified vehicle collided with it, resulting in the auto being shattered.
The deceased include auto driver Manoj Kumar, Deewana Kumar, Chhotu Kumar, Ramu Kumar, and Amit Kumar, all of whom were residents of Jamalpur police station area in Munger district. Notably, all the deceased were employed in the catering industry and were returning from Sikandra to Lakhisarai after completing their work.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, securing the bodies and transporting the injured to Sadar Hospital. Five critically injured individuals have been referred to Patna PMCH for further medical attention. Authorities are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the collision to determine the cause and identify the unknown vehicle involved.
