Timely CPR rescues devotees heart attack at Medaram Jathara in Telangana

During the Medaram Jathara festival in Telangana's Mulugu district, a devotee identified as Raju reportedly suffered a heart attack while standing in a queue. Prompt action by emergency and rescue personnel, including the immediate performance of CPR, saved Raju's life. Video footage capturing the incident and Raju's subsequent transfer to a hospital surfaced online, showcasing the efficient response by the police and security personnel present at the festival site.

Raju, experiencing a heart attack and pain during the Medaram Jathara festival, received swift assistance from alert police and security personnel. The video displays Raju being supported by security personnel on a chair, followed by the arrival of a rescue team providing oxygen support. CPR was administered as part of the life-saving measures. This incident echoes a similar rescue in the past month, where a police constable named T Nagamuthyam administered CPR to revive a man who suffered a heart attack and collapsed during the same festival in Medaram.
