Brazilian football legend Pele has been moved to the hospital at the end of his life, according to media reports. Palliative care is used for patients with potentially life-threatening illnesses and diseases.
According to a report in The Sun, Pele, 82, is no longer responding to chemotherapy in his battle with bowel cancer. Pele was taken to hospital on Tuesday and now Folha in the state of Sao Paulo will no longer undergo invasive tests or treatment.
The three-time World Cup winner has been undergoing chemotherapy since September 2021.
