Kolkata bus owners seek relaxation of rules for 15-year-old buses, file petition in High Court
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha made his first public appearance in months on Saturday, arriving at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's official residence. A video shows Chadha arriving in a car at the CM's residence.
Chadha, a close aide of Kejriwal who handled important departments within the party, underwent emergency eye surgery—vitrectomy—earlier this month in the United Kingdom. His absence during a series of setbacks for AAP, including Kejriwal's arrest, raised questions, but the party had maintained that Chadha would join the Lok Sabha poll campaigning once he recovered.
Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj issued a statement on May 2, saying, “Raghav Chadha has undergone a major eye surgery in the UK. It is said that his condition was serious, and there was a possibility of blindness. As soon as he gets better, he will return to India and join us in the election campaigning.”
Despite his physical absence, Chadha remained active on social media, supporting the party and attacking political rivals. On May 10, after the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Kejriwal in the excise policy case, Chadha wrote on X that “the eyes of every citizen of the country are moist with happiness, their brother, their son Arvind Kejriwal is about to come out of jail.”
