CM Mamata to visit Darjeeling ahead of bypolls, key GTA meeting on cards
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of provoking voters and urged the Election Commission to take action against his instigating speeches. This call to action follows Modi's repeated claims that the opposition INDIA bloc would "run bulldozer over Ram Temple if voted to power."
Kharge stated, "We have not used bulldozers to date... The Election Commission should take action against those who make instigating speeches. The Prime Minister himself is doing it. He is provoking people. After our government comes, everything will be protected as per our Constitution, we will follow the Constitution."
A day earlier, during election rallies in Uttar Pradesh, Modi claimed that the Congress and the Samajwadi Party would demolish the Ram temple if they were elected to power.
"If the SP and the Congress come to power, they will send Ram Lalla back to the tent and bulldoze the temple," Modi asserted. He further added, “These people should learn from Yogiji how to use bulldozers-- when and where.”
