Kolkata's air quality now "hazardous" post Diwali and Kali Puja celebrations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition INDIA bloc during an election rally in Bikram under the Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday. Campaigning for BJP candidate Ram Kripal Yadav, Modi criticized the opposition's approach, saying, “If the INDIA bloc wants to perform ‘mujra’ (dance) before their vote bank, they are free to do so. I will protect the SCs/STs/OBCs reservation at all costs.” He assured the people of Bihar that he would not let the opposition take away their reservation rights as long as he was alive.
Modi also accused Congress of altering laws related to minority institutions to please their vote bank, thereby denying SCs, STs, and OBCs reservation benefits in these institutions. He argued that reservation should not be based on religion and criticized the RJD-Congress alliance for allegedly attempting to end quotas for SCs, STs, and OBCs. Modi took a veiled dig at RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his son, Tejashwi Yadav, indicating that legal action was imminent for their alleged involvement in the land-for-jobs scam.
