Roopa Ganguly arrested during protest of student's death in Bansdroni, gets bail
Kolkata Police announced that no meeting between Governor and Shubhendu Adhikari is scheduled, contradicting Adhikari's claim of having secured an appointment. Adhikari intended to meet the Governor at Raj Bhavan with victims of post-election violence.
Kolkata Police stopped Adhikari's convoy near the Great Eastern estuary for 20 minutes. Adhikari stated, "I have just texted the Governor," and claimed that despite having written permission, he and the victims were denied entry to Raj Bhavan. He plans to file a legal case against Kolkata Police, asserting, "If we lost badly in the election, what is Trinamool afraid of that we were stopped from meeting the governor?"
He also mentioned that he will report the incident to Amit Shah.
